MASONIC CHARITIES FOR KIDS – REPORTING ON MATTHEWS ALIVE 2008

I want to say it was called Stumptown Festival, but I am not sure. The Masonic Charities for Kids display was there for the first time at the invitation of the Matthews Masonic Lodge. They have sold hamburgers and hot dogs, with all the trimmings, for many years in front of their lodge building, with great success, as we found out, when the public came looking for these men and their burgers.

New Web Site – Treasures of North Carolina Masonry

Check out this new site by Brother Walter Klein and the Grand Lodge of North Carolina Public Relations Committee. There are a lot of stories that would make excellent Masonic Education short talks for a Lodge meeting! Here’s a preview:

Clayton:
The website just keeps getting better. Thanks to you and Robert Klein for the wonderful pics of the June Stated. I just wish that ALL of the members would log on and see what “fun” and enthusiasm we have for what the Valley of Charlotte is doing. Thanks again for all you do. I have included yet another picture for you of our hike last week across the bay to the base of the Grewingk Glacier lake. I see this thing all of the time from my house but never went to it before. It was awesome. C’mon up and I’ll take you there…
