I have organized a bus trip to The Valley of Winston-Salem. The bus holds 45 people, it would leave here at 4:00pm and return around 10:30pm. The costs is $19.00 per person round trip. This would be a great opportunity to visit another Valley and meet new brothers. Please let me know who is interested.

We now have a new handicap ramp that was just put in for the front doors. This will make it much easier for meetings and Reunions or just visiting.

Please make sure your Blue Lodge has an active Ambassador so that your new members are given the appropriate  Scottish Rite paperwork and lapel pin’s for our next Reunion.

Dear Brother:

 

My Brother, you are receiving yet another letter from your new secretary regarding the ongoing “Save OUR Temple” campaign because you have seen the need and understand the reasoning and purpose for saving our building.

 

To continue our work of restoring our beautiful building, we need more help – urgently – from the people who care about our Children’s Learning Center and our facility the most; people like YOU who are willing to provide additional support in this struggle.  I am asking that each member contribute $100, or twenty-seven cents per day, or whatever you can afford, to preserve the legacy that our beautiful building exhibits to the community and the Scottish Rite.  To date we have received $85,788.77 from 734 Brothers towards our $250,000 goal.

 

Your past contribution is greatly appreciated and has been most instrumental in reducing the overall $116,000 cost incurred for our roof replacement in January 2008.  But replacing the roof was only part of the total restoration project.  We still have the need for new air conditioning systems, we would like to re-carpet the upstairs, paint the lobby and library and resurface the parking lot.  To do this it will cost us more.

 

That is why I write this letter to you; soliciting your continued support to “Save OUR Temple” and keep it as one of the best buildings of Scottish Rite Freemasonry in the country!  And remember, we now accept credit cards for this effort and for any other contributions you may elect to make on behalf of our ongoing Rite Voice Clinic Campaign.  Think about it…and then think about taking out your checkbook (or credit card) again and making the biggest contribution you can.  So my Brother, please make your additional contribution today to preserve our magnificent Temple and all the good Masonic work that emulates from within.  And more especially, come and visit the Learning Center and attend YOUR Scottish Rite and behold the joy in knowing what our Children’s Learning Center means to the many children and families who benefit from YOUR caring generosity!  I extend my personal appreciation and thanks for your support.
