Clayton:
The website just keeps getting better. Thanks to you and Robert Klein for the wonderful pics of the June Stated. I just wish that ALL of the members would log on and see what “fun” and enthusiasm we have for what the Valley of Charlotte is doing. Thanks again for all you do. I have included yet another picture for you of our hike last week across the bay to the base of the Grewingk Glacier lake. I see this thing all of the time from my house but never went to it before. It was awesome. C’mon up and I’ll take you there…

50 Years of Service to the Scottish Rite!

Our June Stated was a great meeting. Illustrious William B. Brunk (SGIG in North Carolina) presented 50 Year Service Awards to five Brothers – Walter J. Klein (received by his son, Robert Klein, in Walter’s absence),  Ill. John R. Litaker,
Earle P. Brown, Carl A.S. Hedberg & Jesse L. Smith. Brothers Jack R. Worley & Lewis N. Smart (both of Mint Hill Lodge) were presented theirs the following night at the Lodge meeting. Collectively, they represent 361 years of Masonic heritage.  Wow!!!  We had a Fencing Demonstration by Brother Gilbert Bailey and his training partner. They also gave a brief history of the Art of Fencing – complete with helmets and equipment.  More to follow…

OASIS Spring Ceremonial 2008 – Asheboro, NC

Most of the Brothers in the Shrine Cast are Members of the Charlotte Scottish Rite. They are a very hard working bunch of great guys! We appreciate all that they do for Masonry! (and many thanks to Brother Junior Harward for this pic!)
